Dont know where to start with wildlife in the New Forest and as Ashurst is quite central there is so much to see. Perhaps these links will help Forestry Commission - New Forest homepage New Forest Attractions
You dont even have to spend money there is so much free wildlife around even reptiles All my photos are taken around and about the New Forest so that might give you an idea
Have a lovely time fingers crossed for a late summer
