Thankyou everyone for your kind comments! I am simply a point and shoot photographer at the moment, but I am looking into getting kitted up with an SLR at some point and learning the trade.

Hallo Kielder
Nice pics. Brought back some excellent memories. Cordless Dave and I went there on 13 June - a Friday, would you believe! The weather was too rough the day before when were also due to go, and the sea running too high on the Friday morning, but fortunately we managed to get across in the afternoon. Pretty magical despite the smell. I have the Bill Oddie hat where the arctic tern landed and pecked away, etc.
Took loads of pics and I am quite pleased with some. Still sorting and Neat Imaging the sky shots. I will post some over the weekend.
We stayed in Seahouses in excellent digs and had some good birding on the cliffs.

ah Simon King you mean! yeah, I got my fair share of peckings, but worth it to see the amazing sights, what a privellege it was. Looking forward to your photos.

Great pics...I was there on Tuesday, weather was poor though..going again this Friday, you should have said you were going, we could have met up for some taking pictures..oh well, Billy no mates again |

Yes Helen its the 27th, Ive booked up now for the all day trip..I hit very poor weather on Tuesday, so Im only going if its going to be better weather this time.. |

I was involved in a group visit Saturday 21st. As usual a great day on the islands. Plenty of birds and seals around this year, even a lone pair of Ringed plovers nesting on the beach. I go at least once a year in and around June to catch the puffins feeding their young and can recommend a visit be made. The Terns didn't seem as vicious going up " The Walk " this year, or perhaps my heads getting harder. | | |
