| | | Angel of the North - Berneray Style Just come back from holidays on the Outer Hebrides and came across what is clearly their version of the Angel of the North on a remote hillside on the island of Berneray. Thought some of you might appreciate it.

Only hooded crows. The place the thing was put up was on a land that was only used for rough grazing - no crops anywhere near. So I suspect it really was put up as a "statue" in the mode of the Angel of the North rather than as a functional scarecrow.
Whatever the reason for it, it made me laugh anyway.
