Where to go near Birmingham?

Hi!

I've got the chance of a mornings birding while my other half wanders around the Birmingham NEC.

I'll be going mid-February, does anyone have any advice on the best places to visit nearby and what I might see. I would like to keep travelling to under an hour if possible, but may be tempted further.

Might be worth looking at the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust reserves - the NEC isn't far from some.

i have just moved to warwickshire from suffolk / norfolk , and have been looking for some where to go around here , and in feb i have to go to the NEC , so no wondering off for me , but am still looking for places to go around here,
