| | | Re: best hill or mountain My favourite mountain would probably have to be Buachaille Etive Mor in Glen Etive. Although I have never even been near it everytime I see it in a book or anything it just takes my breath away it is so spectacular.

Not necessarily my favourite mountain but nonetheless significant because it also seems to me to be at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands.

| | | Re: best hill or mountain I really enjoyed walking up place fell on the corner of Ullswater looking over Patterdale in the lake district. Start from patterdale walking up the mountain to the summet back down the other side then walk around the base of place fell on the path by the lake back down to Patterdale.
I am definatly doing that walk again
