8,000 Members

The site now has in excess of 8,000 members and it does not seem long since I noted 800. We are growing from strength to strength and I think with all of the activities planned for 2007 we can only become stronger. A big pat on the back for everyone involved.

Re: 8,000 Members

I was telling some friends about this site last night, as we all desperately tried to get photographs of the moon eclipse.
I expect they will be joining us soon.
We had a great evening, eating too much, practising our irish music, watching Badgers cavorting outside, and photographing the sky.
And I know here is a place where I can always share my excitements and ask questions among people who will take time to listen and give me the benefit of their wisdom. Thank you all.

Re: 8,000 Members

I am so pleased this site is here. With all the information freely available and the friends I have made I would not like to be without WAB!

Thank you Stuart and all the moderators, picture gallery editors and all the others in the background.

Re: 8,000 Members

The site appears to have grown rapidly within the last few months and as was mentioned none of that would have been possible without Stuart and the Moderators. Thanks guys .

Re: 8,000 Members

It's a big achievement for a forum to get 1000 members, let alone 8000!
This just shows how great this forum is, and how well known we are becoming, soon we will take over the wildlife world for good. Muahahahahaha!

Re: 8,000 Members

I've been a menber just over a year and WAB has grown tremendously in this time. It's all due to the hard work of Stu, the gallery editors and mods and the techies behind the scenes. Here's to another fantastic year.

Re: 8,000 Members

I'll add my thanks too. I can't think there are any better wildlife sites anywhere - this is an amazing body of work and workers - long may it suceed. Even only 20 years ago creeping about with a camera was thought of as odd, excentric, the preserve of only a very few elite folk. Thank goodness that idea has gone! I love the idea of being surrounded by folk plotting and planning to capture great shots or just taking pics when the mood takes them - whatever - its just grand! Thanks Stu and mods et al for making it happen.

Pauline

Re: 8,000 Members

Thanks to everyone behind the scenes from me too I've only been a member a few months but WAB life has become part of my daily routine. Some times I would feel a bit isolated here away from friends and family, but now I have a whole new group of friends with the same interests as me. I really feel that since joining my life has taken a turn for the better, my interest and knowledge of various things has grown and thats thanks to everyone on the forum.

Re: 8,000 Members

Thanks from me too for all the hard work put into this site. It is much appreciated.

I have learned so much about all sorts of things and, of course, the amazing standard of the photographs has given me something to aspire to!
