2005...here we come!

Well, last year was a busy one with lots happening at Wild About Britain and 2005 looks set to be even busier

We've also had some major problems with our web host during the past couple of weeks with the server being down several times so if you've sent us any emails or submitted items to the forums, gallery etc and you've not seen your posts or heard back from us then please re-send the info.

Fingers crossed, the various technical problems that we've had should now be largely behind us.

So on we go to 2005 and an enormous pile of work...so many ideas and yet so few hands on deck. Hopefully, most of the website coding is now complete and so the Encyclopedia and School Resources sections of the site will get lots of attention throughout the year.

We've got some major new initiatives in the pipeline, but we're going to concentrate on building the existing areas of the site before we launch the new projects.

We'd welcome any help that you are to give and this could possibly include:

Writing a new entry for the enecyclopedia
Adding pictures to the gallery
Writing a widlife-related buying guide or activity guide
Sedning us snippets of info to add to our existing pages i.e. wildlife-related proverbs, superstitions, quotations etc

Alternatively, you can simply send us your ideas for new sections of the site or ways that you'd like to get involved.

Let's make 2005 a great year for British wildlife

Cheers

Stuart

I've got a long list of wildlife english puzzles and info that might be of use to you in your worksheets, facts and figures etc. Is it alright if I just send them to you as text, I haven't got any pictures etc for them but they are all original work from projects that I've done with kids for their homework and so on.

Hi Kinfol,

Thanks, your help is much appreciated. Please feel free to just send us the info in whatever format you have it and we'll happily add pictures etc to build the worksheets.

Thanks again

Stuart

Encyclopaedia - mammals

Just to let you know that whilst the cold weather persists, I am researching and writing a brief description for some British mammals which you may edit and use in conjunction with pics. or artwork. Hope it helps for us to get involved.

Thumbs up Wild About Britain - user help and input

There's a very long list of lots of things that we're working on and any help would be really great. We'll post a list of current projects within the next few days so you can pick and choose where you'd like to help out. We're always keen to hear of new ideas that would help to build the site, so feel free to make suggestions and we'll see what we can do.

Now I'm off with camera to take more photos - must try to get to the 1,000 by the 28th.
