| | Full size images in seperate window I have just discover by accident that if you open the 'image tools' menu and click on the image, you can get it in a new window with enlarge '+' to full size. By getting rid of the tool & status bars virtually full screen image is at hand.(Firefox & Netscape)
Am I the last person to have discovered this?
Anyway its great. Frogs twice full size, yum. Thanks Stu and/or techies. Doesn't seem to work for some, maybe only ones posted decent size in the first place?
Chris

| | | Re: Full size images in seperate window Hi Chris,
If the uploaded picture was larger than 880px wide then you can view it at full size just by clicking on it.
We reduce the size so that they fit inside the sidebars, but keep the larger size as well for reference.
Now that you've got Firefox, have a look at some of the extensions that you can get for your browser (tools > extensions in the Firefox navigation Toolbar) ...there are some great options for viewing images.
Cheers

| | Re: Full size images in seperate window Thank you Stuart. Yes the 'image tools' menu bit isn't needed & I think I meant removing 'navigation bar', not 'tool bar' in the new image window to increase its size.
I got 'flashblock' extension the second something on screen started moving; the rest look a bit ambitious for most things I do, but nice to know folks are co-operating on such tweaking; maybe the Java filter if sites get more nuisensical. BTW the obvious bit missing from Firefox cf Netscape is Composer, useful for very occasional web-site editors like me, but maybe most people have full web build/edit progs now.

I'm sure there's also a Firefox editor around somewhere - I think I saw a few months ago. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
