| | | uploaded picture missing Just wondered if here was a problem with the system as I uploaded a picture of a whooper swan a few days ago, it was accepted and now it's disappeared.
I have also been trying to submit a link and not sure what I am doing wrong as it doesn't seem to be working. I have emailed you about this but have had no reply?
Thanks
Merry Crimble.

If it's the Whooper full head and neck I left a post on it yesterday, I have just looked and could not see it, but I did have some trouble up loading a mug shot of me & mine - managed it after 3 attempts but I put it down to having senior moments.

I noticed recently that you've started uploading images again after asking for your original images to be deleted from the site.
We're about to enforce a rule on the site, which doesn't allow images to be deleted after they have been uploaded. This is to prevent breaking forum threads that refer to the images and also to prevent all the effort and time spent by the editors moderating images from being wasted.
If you'd still like to post your images in the gallery then I think you will first need to apologise to the gallery editors for the problems and extra work that was, and will be, created in having to delete and reload your images.
Kind regards
Stuart
I have the answer and a slapped wrist and I am tired and weary of this kind of attitude in forums.
My picture was removed because I have upset someone.
I'm sorry but I am not at school and at 50 am not going to be told what to do in this way. There is also no information regarding this new rule and I can only suppose I have been singled out.
I submitted some photographs a while ago and they were rejected but I was only sent the standard email and couldn't fathom out why they hadn't been accepted.
I did try and make light of this but this was taken the wrong way and the post was moved straight away.
I guess I won't be allowed on here again. Thank you for the kind posts and I have met some nice people on here.
Bye |

| | | Re: uploaded picture missing Dorcas, our version of events is slightly different to yours. You took great exception to a comment by one of our editors when explaining our editorial decision to you. You then decided to remove all of your images from WAB, which led to a string of PM exchanges and a great deal of time spent removing your images (believe it or not it takes a while to individually delete each image). Then, without a word of explanation, we suddenly receive a new upload from you. This image was mistakenly accepted for a few hours until we realised that it had come from someone who had only just asked for all of their images to be deleted.
You state that you've had problems on other forums. To be honest this doesn't surprise me. Whilst on WAB you have publicly questioned the editors' decisions, had a strop and asked us to remove all of your images, and then publicly reproduced a PM (a private message). There are not many forums who would be happy with that sort of behaviour from members.
I would not normally write such a candid post, but you seem intent on having this debate in public. It is therefore only fair that the editors' version of events is aired.

The rule can be found at www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/terms_and_conditions
"In contributing to Wild About Britain you agree to grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material for an unlimited period in the Wild About Britain websites. However, you still own the copyright to everything you contribute to Wild About Britain."
Your original post about your images was removed because we don't allow public discussion that question the gallery editors judgement on individual photos. In your thread, you asked why your images had not been allowed in the gallery. You were given a simple and honest opinion by a gallery editor who told you that, whilst your images were very good, they weren't the type of photographs that are normally included in the gallery. You reacted by saying that he'd put you down and so asked for all your images to be removed, but a few days later you're uploading again.
After not inconsiderable effort by several gallery editors to further explain any misunderstanding you've now decided to post my PM, which is also against the rules. As stated above, I've simply asked for you to apologise and respect the massive amount of work, time and dedication that the gallery editors put into the site. You clearly consider this to be unreasonable. I therefore see no other option than to make your membership inactive.
Kind regards
