Re: John

Ouch, that sounds painful, poor John I really hope he feels better soon and doesn't require surgery.
What a way to end a good day out as well, but knowing John as I do I'm sure his great spirit and sense of humour will help to carry him through this.

Re: John

I have offered to go over and get Johns shopping, or DVD's etc for him this week as he is unable to drive.

I am just about to meet Stuart to pick up a load of calendars so I'll make sure that John is one of the first to get his and I will pass all of your regards on to him. I know he will appreciate it.

Re: John

Thanks for all you well wishes. as has already been stated, this has been one heck of a bad year this year and this just caps it off.

Thanks for you well wishes.

I might be out of action for a while because as I have actually created a displaced fracture to my Eye Socket and it bloomin hurts. I have to go to the hospital on Wednesday morning to see if the swelling has gone down. If it has the surgeon will have a look to see if it is serious enough to warrant corrective surgery on it. Hopefully it won't be serious enough to do that.

It could have been worse as I actually smashed my glasses and there was a danger that glass could have gone into my eye.

On top of that I have badly bruised my left shoulder, badly bashed up my teeth, badly hurt my rib cage around the heat region and really hurt my right knee cap. I am feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment. I can't see me coming out for a while if I do have to have surgery. If not I might be out that bit quicker.

What a bummer as I was planning to go to Spain for a few days after Christmas now I will possibly have to put that on hold.

I will be in and out of WAB just now. If I ma feeling ok I will contribute, it's just how good the painkillers are that will determine that.

As I said at the start. Thanks a million for your well wishes. It's greatly appreciated.

John

What a shock I got when I logged on. I do hope you make a speedy recovery and there is no need for surgery. I really enjoyed Saturday and hope we can get together again soon.

My best wishes for you.

Re: John

A bit of good news today.

I went to the hospital today. The decision on whether or not to do corrective surgery was being made. Thankfully now that a lot of the swelling has gone down a more detailed examination could be made and it was decided that the fracture in my eye socket isn't severe enough to warrant the surgery. I will have to go back on December 11th but it seems that for the time being that a lot of rest is what is required.

With that in mind I hope to be back in action a bit sooner than I thought.

John

ok boss.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I will certainly be resting as there is one thing that will make me. I am so bloomin tired all the time. it must be the after effects because I seem to be dropping of to sleep at the drop of a hat at the moment.

John

Re: John

Thanks folks

I must admit, now that I know an operation isn't necessary, I am feeling a lot better. Hopefully I will be back at work before the end of next week.
