| | | use of keywords for searching Hi there - recent member to the website - discovered whilst trying to, (and succeeding) in identifying Privet Hawk Moth caterpillar that my 5yr old found. Thank-you very much!
So - this is a great site but is there any conformity with keywords ?
there are so many photos to browse if there was (there may already be ?) guides as to the key words to be used for each section then it may help beginners like myself -
eg caterpillars I assume must have a subset of main identifying features - small/medium/large (<3cm,3-6cm,>6cm?), colour, stripes or spots, horn (?), hairy / smooth.
or moths : colour, again size (small med large), spots per wing, hairy etc etc
If the list of features to search for (with examples) was on a sticky it would formalise keywords and facilitate searches.
Please let me know if there is something like this in place.
Thanks
