Forum Promotion

As a community project, this forum needs as much help as it can get so we'd be really grateful if you could help to promote the site and encourage friends, family and colleagues to join in.

Most of the major search engines have finally picked up the forum and we're finding more and more people are visiting our sites each day, but the forum is still quite quiet.

We're about to promote the site quite soon to newspapers, magazines, schools and clubs throughout the UK and would really like the public to be able to come here to find lots of info on Britain's wildlife, environment and conservation.

I followed your rather tenuous links lol, from your post on BBC UK Wlidlife and found your site and I must say am thrilled with it.

I might also be able to help you with your search for nature/bird photos .if you could let me know how to send them to you ?

Hi Ruth,

Thanks for finding us...hopefully the beeb will let us post a proper link soon enough and we'll be able to let more people know about the site.

The easiest way to get pictures to us would be to add them to the gallery and we'll download them from there or you can send them direct by emailing to

info*wildaboutbritain.com (just replace the * with an @)

We'll add some more categories to the gallery today, including regions of Britain etc, but if there are more that you think we could do with adding then let me know and we'll put them in.

The new sections have now been added for landscape photographs of the different regions of Britain. Feel free to add pics and show the world your favourite areas of wild Britain

Hi Ruth,

I'm not too sure about why you're not receiving email notices, did you choose the 'instant email notification' option from the dropdown menu below the text entry box? I'll also double check that all the right options are setup on the forum.
