Top rated images

I am a little confused by the top rated images. The list only contains 30, so that images of equal rating are not shown. Also some images have maybe a 5 rating + a 4 rating making an average of 4.5. Should they not be regarded as higher rated than a single 5? At present the system of showing top rated images seems very unfair.

To my mind a fairer way would be to either show all rated images, I am not sure how much room that would take , or to have a rating cut-off of say 5. But I think that a 4+4 should be shown. Indeed any image whose total rating count is equal to 5.

Not too sure how the rating system calculates the top ranks, but I'll have a look over it sometime when I get a chance.

I've just increased the top rated list to show 100 images and then I noticed that I only make it in there once, so maybe I'll have to increase it again

One of the anomilies I have noticed is that your entry had 2 votes of 5 making a total of 10 making an average of 5 and you got in. Helen has a Red Kite which has 2 votes of 5 and 1 vote of four giving a total of 14 but an average of 4.67 so she doesn't get in. I don't think I have any votes of 5 let alone greater so I'm not doing this for myself but to see fairness. And not just to make more work for you
