OY's Insect Macro Photographs - A basic guide

I was just looking through the recent posts on the home page and came across the article which was written by OY titled 'Insect Macro Photographs - A basic guide'.

It is a fantastic article and gave me a few tips that seem obvious, but that I had certainly never thought of.

I will make a conscious decision to try some of the technques etc out next take I take my 105 for a walk.

Actually there are some really good articles in this section but it says author anonymous against many of them so, bearing in mind I have been gleaning tips from them today, thanks to everyone who has taken the trouble to do these.

Here is the article by the way

Great article - would add for photographers on a budget, try putting a 1.4 teleconverter onto a 70-300mm 1:2 and get 40% larger, same focussing distance at a budget price. Keeping me going till I get the 90mm or 105mm.

Good of you to pass that on carlj,we do sometimes lose sight of the fact
that not everyone can afford a bigma(or would want to)
