sound idea?

there have been some querys about strange noises Hedgehogs,foxes,do we need a sound gallery?

Nice Idea Nightshade, A sound gallery could be really beneficial in terms of helping people identify & learn bird songs and other sounds asscociated with British wildlife, my only concerns would be the possible technical problems that could arise in implementing it.

If we've got enough sounds to add to it then all for it. Wouldn't take me long to set one up

We've had a play around with seeing where we could build a sound library and whilst it's very easy to attach it the exisitng image gallery, it doesn't look all that great and, at the moment, it doesn't look as though it'll be too easy to organise

Instead, we'll probably include an upload feature in the reference section where we can easily group various sounds and also attach images and further details to each recording. This should enable visitors to get a better idea of what they're listening to and also find out a bit more about the recording, i.e. where it was recorded in the UK, equipment used etc.

We should have something ready to work with in the next couple of days.
