If peoples images are put forward by other members and they don’t want them to be included in the calendar for whatever reason, you’d put them in an awkward position and make them feel like killjoys if they have to ask for them not to me included.

I think images should only be put forward by the image owners themselves, or at least pm them first to ask if they mind that their images are shortlisted.

I think a few of us have already been PMing individuals who have suitable photos and several have now submitted them as a result. It might be preferable to do it this way around rather than to submit the pic and then PM them. There may be a problem if they don't respond to their PMs - we'll have images in the submission thread but won't know if they've actually been submitted or not. Just a thought.

Edit: I've just seen Alan's post and I agree that it could also put members in an awkward position if their shot has already been 'submitted' by another member.

Don't forgte there's still plenty of time! I mean I will definately be submitting something but haven't yet decided what - and there's still time to take more, perhaps wait until mid Sept before upping the quota? Otherwise we might end up swamped and maybe other people will feeling even less like contributing because there's already so many?

I don't think we can leave it too long though Gill, as Malcolm recommended that the calendars should actually be fully printed by 1st Oct. Once all the images are in I think there's a long way to go before they're actually selected and the calendar is designed and printed.

You can use my squirrel on page 8 of my photos, 5 down, 2 accross. She shas already won a photo othe week comp and is going into a public gallrry and also a public slide show in September. You are welcome to use her for your calendar if you think she will do. Haven't a clue how to submit it though

Go to the Image and copy the BB code. (Ctlr + C) or simply highlight all the text, right mouse click and choose copy.) Then go to the IMAGES ONLY thread and start a new reply and then do Ctrl + V or right mouse click, choose paste. Thats it!

I agree with Alan (

) this was the approach that i took originally if you recall on page three of this thread , and it was roundly agreed that it wasnt the best way forward. I think that unless someone posts here giving us permission to pick from their pics (as kev has , and which incidentally folk are welcome to do from mine) then we should stick to the owners only approach. If people have unsubmitted shots we feel would work we can always pm them and ask ( as several of us have already been doing).

The BB code is in the white box under the image when you display it - once you have found that its pretty much just a copy and paste job

Beryl, please don't let the female side down. Gill and I have been giving the poor helpless males a hand in getting their images in the forum. Take your time, read the instructions again and make sure you know what you are going to do, then go for it.

I just tried to be helpful and put the wrong picture in (though i'm sure that was 2 across 5 down

I had two friends that were dyslexic.
