I wonder why so many at that time of night. Perhaps it shows how popular the site has become with people in the USA?

About 12% of our visitors come from the USA, but lots of UK visitors also tend to logon late in the evening/early morning - with about a quarter of all visitors online between 10pm and 6am.

We get many visitors from literally every single country on earth (except for North Korea), which is one of the reasons why we're keen on adding UK-wide landscape photos to the gallery and putting British traditions in the reference section etc.

There are lots of things in British wildlife that we take for granted that many of our foreign visitors find fascinating and often email us for more info. Whether it's the rules for conkers or pictures of traditional hedgerows and cornish walls, there certainly seems to be a lot o interest in the British countryside from all around the world.

I have tried to do this as much as possible but have not had a car recently so many of my photos will be confined to the Birmingham area but I agree it is important to photograph landscapes and I have submitted some 'handbuilt' fences and dry stone walling which are pretty much unique to the UK and very interesting to worldwide visitors to the site - judging by some of the PM's I get. Again though it is vitally important to identify the region. Many of your 'coastal' contributors seem to do this very well. I havent been to Cornwall for ages but many of Fotogriffs images mean it will definitely be my next UK vacation destination.
