Moving an Unidentified Phototo Identified Section

This has probably been covered before but is there any way that unidentified images can be moved once they have been identified?

Re: Moving an Unidentified Phototo Identified Section

Once identified if you want them in the main galleries they have to be reloaded.
Also the subject should be moved into the identified section of the archives. If you send me a message or PM with the link and the correct name, I'll move it for you.

Re: Moving an Unidentified Phototo Identified Section

I don't see the Edit icon for unidentified images unless the photo is one of mine, and then there is no option (that I can see) to move the photo into an identified folder of the archive. Am I doing something wrong?

I think only mods and eds can move images (tho i could be wrong as i dont have much to do with the gallery) hence grahams suggestion above that the OP send him a link to the imagae and he will move it for them

Thanks Graham but it was just a general question as I have noticed that there are a lot that have been identified but not moved.

Re: Moving an Unidentified Phototo Identified Section

This thread has come at a very useful time! I've been trying to work out how to move my archive 'unidentified forum images' photos to the gallery now they are identified. Maybe the text saying you can edit and move your photos needs to be amended?

Glsammy - I would like to have some images deleted from archive so I can re-upload them to the gallery. Please can you tell me if there is any particular moderator I can contact, or is it anyof the moderators? Many thanks.

Is there a list of moderators in case someone wants to PM one and if not could a link be placed to enable a member to contact one?

Thats fine Kayleigh but who are the rest of the Mods - Ollie isn't always on and it would be nice to know who the mederators all are. I know a few but I don't know if there is a list of mods. Ollie has a moderator badge next to his name but eeyore doesn't and I think eeyore is a mod or am I mistaken?

Thanks, Ron

Ollie isn't a moderator, neither is eeyore. If you go to the home page and look in the FAQ page, there's a list of the editors there.
To save you the trouble, The list is: fourwings, fungijohn, glsammy, matt_xyz, nightshade, oy, stuartdh, tinkerbell and wildone.

We don't remove them from the Archives. To do so would leave broken links in forum threads.
Just re-load them for the main galleries. One point to remember though, we don't allow shots of captive birds in the main galleries.

If anyone wants any images moved from unidentified to identified in the Archives you can PM anyone of us, but remember some mods are on line more than others, so depending on your choice you may have a bit of wait for it to happen.

Thanks, Ron
you give me too much credit ron - i am definitely not a mod , i am far too intemperate and sometimes controversial to be suitable for that role.

However as ive been here a long time i sometimes seek to answer simple queries etc in order to spare our hard working mod team the work.

and i am also partly responsible for overseeing the reviews section (which reminds me i really must put some time into that soon) and in that section only, can edit posts, remove spam etc.

Hope that clears up the confusion
