They say that you never stop learning and for me (having started teaching in 1975) it has been an enlightening and enjoyable experience ever since I joined WAB. Whilst I loved taking photos and appreciated nature, I didn't know the difference between a weevil or a beetle or a weed or a wildflower. Now I'm beginning to learn slowly but surely thanks to the help from all the people at WAB who have helped with my photo postings. You are all part of a wonderful community. |

I agree totally, John .... I am in exactly the same position as you - having enjoyed taking pictures and taking walks in the countryside for years, but now I have found a little community of like-minded individuals who are helping each other to appreciate the wonders of nature that surround us all - and my own knowledge is slowly but surely starting to expand!!

I am also in agreement. I have learned a huge amount since joining WAB. I can't imagine how some of you guys (and gals) have accumulated so much knowledge.
