| | | Your help please I have discovered a ringed bird in my garden in Pegwell Ramsgate Kent. It had been half eaten by a cat, so there was no markings to determin the exact make/model but by the shape of the beak it seems to be some sort of finch.
The bird was ringed with the number 36B A05 Z5S. Is it possible that I can find the organization/person that this bird was ringed by? As I could perhaps advise them that unfortunatley the bird is no longer and for my own curiosity discover some of the history of the bird.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I think you want to be contacting the BTO. There should be a link on there for reporting ringed birds. http://www.bto.org/
Hope this helps |

I had a dead racing pigeon in the back garden once (looked like a bird of prey had eaten it) and I found a leg with a ring attached. I reported it to The Royal Pigeon Racing Association via email and they contacted me almost straight away to say thank you and they would let the owner know.
