new most users online record

ive just noticed that we've set a new most users online record

it is now 1006, 12-04-2008 at 01:53 AM.

this is fantastic going ( i remeber not that long ago our most user record was 400 or so - but as i type this we have 424 on line)

what i wonder tho was

what caused the big jump - have we got some editorial coverage out there or summat ?

I think there was a post on this - and it was because of bots unfortunately

We've had some huge jumps in figures, this one was commented upon at the time. No one offered any real reason why.
The previous jump went to something like 750, yet the following day at the same time the total was 11!

ah well - that'll teach me to read the forum before i post

i though our user count didnt count bots but i guess i was wrong on that - still 430 on line at the mo isnt bad going for a monday night.
