issues with forum layout

Can somebody help me with this please.

Why does it keep saying i have messages and then when i delete them the same messages come back a few minutes later??

And why is it when i upload images they end up all over the place and dont instantly load into my uploaded image part. This is annoying because if i want to get a code for the image to post it in a thread i spend 15min looking for the picture.

I have to say i have only be a member for a few days but the set up of this forum has got to be the most user unfriendly i have ever encountered. Also it bugs me as to why for example if i type something in bold rather then just show it as bold it sticks the codding in instead, or when putting a picture it shows all the coding and you have to waite till the post has been posted before image is shown.

- not sure what you mean - have not had this problem but note that the 'message count' includes your replies ....

- uploading pictures can be a problem (or, rather, different from how other fora go about things) but there are help files.

- Just one of those things - it's all a matter of what you're used to - I don't have any problem with these issues. I have had difficulties with picture uploads but there are reasons for the way things are done - look back in the fora!

Be of good cheer and keep up your efforts - I'm sure it will all come clear and we'll welcome your contributions!

Sounds like you need to clear the cookies in your browser. If you have a problem viewing the site and it's not something that everyone else is experiencing then it's usually something to do with you own PC.

Depends on how you're viewing your uploaded images. At the bottom of the 'my photos' page you can view by filename, posted date, filesize etc.

what code are you using? the forum uses BB code, but it's easiest to just use the icons at the top of the text box.

you can click on 'preview post' before submitting it to check that the post looks right before it's sent

Re: issues with forum layout

The problem with accessing images that i have uploaded is that sometimes when i click on member gallery i get 1 picture which is the picture i have submitted to the main gallery, other times i get 11 and when i get the page with 11 if i click on my user name after members gallery i get all 27 of my so far uploaded images..
What i dont understand is why it is like this and not a case of clicking on member gallery and going straight to the 27 pictures and why instead i get the other half galleries. Its all very confusing.

Re: issues with forum layout

i think this is to do with some pics going into the image archive and others going into the main galleries - also be aware that images loaded to the main galleries wont go straight in as they will be subject to moderation (and some may be rejected) - if you just want to load them into threads put them in the forum images bit of the image archive - which is essentially unmoderated and images will go straight in.

I also find it helpful to have two browser windows open - one on the gallery and one on the forum when pasting bb codes accross - be sure to tick "stay logged in" on the forum window tho or you may time out while viewing the gallery.
