| | | Is being frozen on the site for good? I have noticed Hunterswind has been frozen. Is this for good? Or can he reappear? I understand why he was frozen as he seemed to be a bit argumentative and seemed to be not such a lover of wildlife as most people on the site. |

We used to ban users, this was changed to frozen. Frozen accounts can be reinstated, it all depends on the reason they were frozen in the first place. We'd need to be convinced the member would not repeat whatever actions they took that lead them to be frozen in the first place. |

| | | Re: Is being frozen on the site for good? It's also worth mentioning that hunterswind wasn't frozen for any reason associated with his views about wildlife/environment. We don't freeze out members just because they are pro/anti any topic. His account was frozen after repeatedly posting a link to a youtube video that was awaiting moderation and for which he'd already been warned not to repost until we had made a decision on whether or not it was suitable for the site. |

| | | Re: Is being frozen on the site for good? we usually just remove a video, watch it, then repost it if it's OK and doesn't take more than a few minutes so you've proabbly not even noticed it happen.
The hunterswind video was about ten minutes long and it was removed for the mods to debate whether or not we should include it. during that time he reposted it, so we removed it again and told him that he'd have to wait (and we'd be in no rush - I'm on dial-up modem most of the time and it would take about an hour to download to view), but a couple of weeks later he posted it again.

It's probably actually OK to be posted on WAB, because I think it was made and broadcast by the BBC, but that's a decision for us to take and not something that we will allow anyone to force upon us

| | | Re: Is being frozen on the site for good? Thanks for explaining that to me. I just saw frozen and wondered what it meant.
I didn't look at the you tube, Badger/dog clip, but agree with Kayleigh at least it was removed from you tube.
I imagine using discretion can be very difficult on this site as there are so many views to consider.
In my naivety I thought it was the continuous gripes at Bill Oddie that had Hunterswind frozen.
I am glad we are allowed our views wether pro/anti any topic, especially if reasons are backed up by people with extensive knowledge of their subjects. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
