| | | Invalid file message Forgive me, I am brand new to the forum and have been trying to upload a file to the gallery. After three attempts using three different browsers Safari, Firefox and Camino I keep getting the message - invalid file. The file is a jpg, 1024X550 pixels. file size 151kb, well within the limits.
In the upload file box I can see no means of selecting the relevant file from my computer. Is this the problem? Is the site PC only?
If so it would be a great disappointment to me since I have no intention of using a Windows machine - ever.....

Tom |
as far as i know it doesnt matter what computer you are using - we certainly have a number of mac users here.
to select the file you click on the grey "browse" button at the right of the upload screen then navigate to the file on your hard drive or where ever and select it.

| | | Re: Invalid file message That appears to be the problem. I see no grey "Browse" button looks as if I'll have to try yet another browser!
Thanks very much for responding.....back to the drawing board! |

Tom | Could this be the problem? As I understand it, the shortest dimension of an image uploaded to a gallery should be minimum 600 pixels. Try resizing accordingly, or try uploading to "Forum" or "Unidentified" galleries, which have no size restriction. Hope this helps.

| | | Re: Invalid file message Thanks Turisops, but the main problem seems to be getting the grey "Browse" button to appear on any of the browsers I currently use. Can someone who has been successful at loading please tell me which browser, apart from Internet Explorer (which is no longer supported for the Mac) they use?

Tom | I know a lot of people including our admininstrator use mozilla firefox - best bet is to bang a pm to our admin stuartdh and ask him - there could be something up with your wab "account" settings or summat - hes definitely the man to ask.
