Avatar madness

I apologise for my sheer incompetence but I can't crop and downsize one of my photos to put as an avatar whatever I try. I've been trying for about a week now with this photo http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/pi...hp?photo=51586 with Photoimpact and the venerable MS Paint but I cannot get it to work at all.

If anyone with superior knowledge + photoediting programs could crop and downsize it to fit the size requirement for avatar insertion I would be eternally grateful. Proper grateful, as this has simply driven me to distraction

Might I suggest you try using 'Pixresizer' - a free software package downloadable from here - PIXresizer - Download

It's a doddle to use and I use it for re-sizing all my WAB images

Many many thanks both of you as you can see it is now working much to my delight!

I wouldn't have been able to do that even if I had been chained to the computer for a week, with my eyes matchsticked open and a "Computering guide for dummies" held in front of it!
