hi
maybe a silly question, but can yo change the title on your pictures from within the website
I have uploaded some as unidentified, but now know what they are thanks to this excellent forum and would like to give them their correct names

Hi John,
Makes perfect sense. You can't do it yourself but need to report the image to a moderator and they will do it for you. You can do this by viewing the image and then clicking on the "Image Tools" drop down at the top right of the image. The last item in the drop down menu is "Report to moderator". Just give a brief message stating what the title should be and it will be sorted. Don't worry if it takes a few days though as the mods are usually quite busy.

When typing the new name into the message it would be helpful if it was all on one line. The quickest way for mods. to rename the image is to cut and paste. This doesn't work if it is on two lines so it becomes a back and forth job all adding to the time it takes to complete.

A lot of my now-identified images are comprised of several images in one ...
Question is - are these combined images acceptable in the main gallery? If so I'll do a burst of correctly naming them for moving. |

Jenny, the mods are of the opinion that now you know the ID of you images you should upload full sized individual images. They could then go into their correct galleries. Otherwise they will need naming and go into the Forum Images.

Hi wildone,
The trouble is a lot of the individual pictures in the composite ones won't make the gallery minimum pixel size as I've had to heavily crop to show the relevant bits. I will do what I can and otherwise just rename for Forum Images as hopefully they will still be found on a search for that plant.
