| | | Map of WABers This is a bit of a technical Question for all who are reponsible for a wonderful site! Could you make a map of the British Isles and have member locations pinned up if members fancy to ones whereabouts? Please do not fling Wombats or bulls at me as i'm still recouperating! Yours Sincerely. p.s This may be easier than badges to produce. I hate to be pushy if theres to much on! |

| | | Re: Map of WABers Already on it You can view a user map here: http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/map/user
Use the 'edit your location' link under the map to add your own details.
to do this, you'll need to use the map's cursor and zoom buttons in the top-left to move in on your area, then click on the map to add a pin. For security, it might be worth just adding a pin to your local town centre/nature reserve, so Internet users can't tell where you keep your new camera equipment
Click on the submit button on the bottom of the page to save your settings.
Go back to the user map and you should be able to zoom in to view the locations of all members that have added their pin.

I suspected so ... but no one from Wales or Ireland ... or, indeed, from the Cornish Peninsula? |

| | | Re: Map of WABers In the main only members who have latched onto this thread will be aware of the facility. Is there a way of letting the rest know how they can put their locality "on the map".
By the way, how do you get to the map without using the link provided? |

This is a much more eco-friendly balloon release than the real thing.

In the reference section you can click on the 'User locations' link in the left-hand column to go the map page |
