| | Help! We were walking along the canalside last sunday when out of the bush jumped a beautiful black creature. Its coat was jet black and it looked well groomed and in fantastic condition. Its features were similar to that of a ferret but have looked at many pictures and cannot find one the same. Any suggestions. Im not entirely sure it was wild as it sort of sat watching us for a while appearing unafraid then skipped away again. |

| | Re: Help! Thankyou all, sorry I didn't post the subject in mammals but i struggled to work out how to post a new subject.
It did look like the Mink but the one i saw was so beautiful he almost looked like a pet and the fact he just didn't run off when he saw us sort of amused me. I wasn't sure if we were amazed by him or if he was amazed by us. His coat was very glossy like velvet but obviously longer fur and he was small cat sized. Is it unusual for them to be found in a relatively built up area as there is an industrial space nearby although there is countryside around it. I feel privileged to have seen him. |

Its horrific watching them kill, or finding their not finished meal still moving. (scared him off, ooops).
We all have our hidden sides he he

It is possible that greed can be used for your Mink as well. They kill so many animals daily but only eat one or two of them
