Bye to the Gallery

Hi everyone

Just thought I had better tell you that due to lack of available time I will cease being a Gallery Editor on WAB. I have not been an editor for long but the gallery has increased dramatically and its nice to see the increase in members feedback.

I have made many friends on WAB and wish to thank you for your support.

Keep posting those images and continue to support Wildone she does an incredible job that often goes unnoticed.

Just so long as you stay on site Kev - have known you from a number of sites, and feel that this is a place you love to be as much as I and many others do!

Re: Bye to the Gallery

Thanks for all your help Digi, you've been a real asset to us for the past few months. Nobody ever said it would be easy , but you took on the challenge and you've done a great job in helping to keep the gallery in cracking shape.

It's easy to look at the gallery and assume that it looks after itself, but as everyone who works behind the scenes will testify, that's a long way from the truth. All the gallery editors do outstanding work and you've been a shining example of the great volunteers that help WAB get better and better.

I hope we haven't aged you too much

Stu

Re: Bye to the Gallery

Oh no! does this mean you'll have more time for photography, and so we'll see even more of your images in the gallery?

You've done a great Job digi, I'm sure you deserve a well earned rest.

Re: Bye to the Gallery

I know what you mean digi. The gallery is a victim of its own success. There are so many images arriving in the gallery on a daily basis and its going to get worse.

You will be sorely missed but as Alan says, possibly more time for photography for you. I suppose the gallery is going to heave even more with all the photos you are going to place in it.

John

Re: Bye to the Gallery

I would just like to say thanks to Digi not only for the work he put in as a gallery editor but for the advice, help and encouragement he has shown to many others on WAB
I haven't been here long myself but it is people like Digi and all the other behind the scenes workers that have made WAB what it is today.

My sincere thanks to all of you for providing this haven for us.

Olie

Re: Bye to the Gallery

What can I say. I'm heartbroken that I will no longer be working alongside Digi. Not that I believe the Goodbye bit because I know that digi will now be bombarding us with his images. It is just that he will not be putting me right when I stray.

As you say Digi I have glsammy under my wing and I am sure that he will be as great a help when he gets used to my funny ways.

Thanks a million "pardner digi". Look forward to seeing more of your marvellous images and your comments on WAB, which you can still make.

Keep in touch with us, we will be looking out for you.

Ciao

wildone

Re: Bye to the Gallery

I can only echo everyone elses sentiments.

So many photos and so many posts is incredible. You have been a fantastic contributor. I have always appreciated your advice and good humour. Always with very good information and great knowledge. Best of luck with your photography this year mate.

As for Wildone. I know how many hours she puts in as I often can't keep the hours she does. A top job too.

Boddie

Hey Digi

I just saw your 15 squadron Tornado. Fantastic. 15 squadron were at Laarbruch when I lived there so I have no doubt seen this aircraft in the flesh too. A superb shot

Yes Aviation Photography is my main subject, thanks. The Tornado image was used by RAF 15 Squadron as their publicity photograph for 2005.

Re: Bye to the Gallery

Fantastic shot. So you are as fascinated by aircraft as I am then.

I used to spend many an hour on the edge of the taxiway at Laarbruch watching the Tornado's, and the many visiting aircraft that the yanks flew into base, when I was a nipper. I still love to see fast jets.

Fantastic

In my short time whilst been a member of WAB you have sent so many kind comments to me and many others. Almost like we had known each other for years.

... and your aircraft pictures, well their something else ... 10 star

I thank you Digi and good luck

Re: Bye to the Gallery

I would think the site will be needing alot more editors if the success rate continues to climb the way it is. Thanks for all your efforts so far Kev. Only downside is with more time to take images I'll have to stay on my toes

Don't worry I am not likely to compete with you.

Even though I am not moderating images, I shall still be monitoring the gallery and helping my friend Wildone

Hi Digi
Sorry to hear that you are leaving your post with WAB. I sincerely hope that you will still post photos so that I have something to aspire to. I will even forgive you for upsetting me over the price of the 30D.
