Identification - Photobucket?

Hello!

This maybe a silly question, maybe answered somewhere already. I'm new and so am still getting used the rules and how this site operates.

I have a picture of a beetle I would like identified. Usually on other forums I would use Photobucket to insert an image. Is this allowed here?

I did try uploading it to the galleries but unfortunately it was rejected for being out of focus (the beetle woke me up at 1am, I could barely see it let alone focus on it!). I think out of focus was slightly incorrect, part of it is in focus and the rest wasn't due to such a narrow depth of field.

Unfortunately I've not met this beetle since so haven't been able to capture a worthy image.

Any ideas how I should proceed on getting this image posted for identification?

Post it in the 'unidentified gallery' or 'Forum Images gallery' as these are un-moderated.

Is photobucket not to be used? I have a tonnes of my picture on there already and I keep getting time-outs when uploading to the galleries here.

Photobucket is not allowed, can you upload it straight from your photos on your computer after resizing them. Some images get rejected for different reasons mine are usually too big.

Fraid not.

It avoids getting broken links in the threads if something happens to your pics on the other sites.

Upload it to the forum images gallery the quality of focus isn't an issue in that gallery

I'm still getting time-outs when uploading. Is this normal?

I tried this morning at 7am and have been for the last hour or so.
