New Gallery

We've just started to migrate over to our new gallery which should now be up and running at

http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/gallery

The biggest advantage of the new system is that it allows for a single login username and password with the forum, so there is no longer any need to register twice.

We'll continiue to make quite a few adjustments to the gallery during the next few weeks, so if there any particular features that you'd like it to have, then be sure to post your requests here and we'll see what we can do.

We're having a few problems with a mix up between photographers and their photographs that has occured whilst migrating the gallery to the new set-up.

We're working on it at the moment and will hopefully have it sorted out fairly soon.

We're having a few teething problems with the new gallery with some errors in migrating the user accounts from the old system to new.

We hope to have this pretty much sorted out by the end of the weekend, but if you notice any problems with logins, passwords or submitting information etc, then please feel free to contact us.

We've fixed virtually all of the problems with the new gallery and so we're happy to say that we can now start to publish new submissions again.

The new gallery has lots of great new features, not least in the ability for contributors to edit their own submissions and add descriptions etc after the initial upload. There are also smart links for the keywords and of course the new forum integration should make life a bit easier for everyone.

After a few problems with the messaging system on the gallery, it's now fixed again and so you should be able to leave messages using the 'post reply button' or quick reply box that is under the full-page photo. Obviously, you have be logged in to the forum to be able to post messages.

We still have to name many of the photos, so please feel free to leave a message under a picture, if are able to identify the creature/plant etc in the photo.
