| | | Any chance of a Geology forum Hi there,
Dont mean to be out of place as a bit of a newbie but it is an area of interest and Britain is full of really beautiful geological formations and many interesting rocks and minerals that I struggle through my geology books trying to identify. Would be great to have a forum and I would wager with the wealth of knowledge on this site, there are a few rockhounds in the mix already.
Anyway, just a thought!

| | | Re: Any chance of a Geology forum Yes, know what you mean - at present, I would be inclined to use/look in the 'Wild Places and Geography' fora. Much of the stuff in there is topographical geology although I don't recall much on deep ecology or palaeontology ... these would fit there? Quote:

| | | Re: Any chance of a Geology forum Cheers Paul, I might just a post a random photo of a rock and see what response there is from there! I really do find it one of the most fascinating parts of nature as it is so weighty with evident history and you can work out how the land was formed but you need the id's and others' perspective sometimes so I thought a forum would really do the trick. |
