Re: Wildone

Thanks Stuart
Think you have got to pull your finger out if the 5000 images is going to be reached before the 1000th member. Just as well you didn't have that bet with me unless you sit up all night posting 300+ of those images you have waiting to be posted.

Do you want me to upload a few hundred of mine to make that target?

Go on Stu take the bet

Re: Wildone

I thought you might be looking so hard at the images/members situation that you wouldn't even notice your own milestone. I'd been watching you get close to 1000 posts over the past few days and when I saw 999 I simply couldn't help but post this thread.

Congratulations and thanks for all 1000 of your image and forum posts. You've been a real star and a massive help in the gallery and it's very much appreciated. It's great to see you taking your place in the Wild About Britain history books.

Cheers

Stu

If you like digi, but you will have to sort out the names including scientific and the keywords, also make sure they go into the correct categories. Although thinking on they will probably all be birds as we have not taken to having aircraft on this site yet.

Re: Wildone

Thanks for those kind words Stuart. If the next 1000 give me as much enjoyment as the first, then I shall be a very happy woman.

Re: Wildone

Surely it's:

Harrier - Jumpius jettus

Hawk - Rufus Arrowus

[Throwing down the gauntlet] It's a long way off, but keep adding those pics, comments and forum posts and we'll see who becomes WAB's first Knight of the Wild Empire

Stu

Sorry, I need to correct you Buteo (BEW-tee-oh), which is from a Latin word meaning or hawk, so it Buteo Arrowus

Re: Wildone

apart from your comments being thus impressively numerous, they stood out as being helpful and encouraging from the day I joined. Thank you W xxx

(only don't try giving orders being a commander, as I expect you will find many of us pretty bolshie)

Re: Wildone

Don't worry Chris, I have always believed in leading by example. The only time I should give orders is if I don't think you are submitting sufficient numbers of photos. Then watch out
