| | | posting photo's question? i have a photograph of a bird that i cannot properly identify, im sure it is a common bird, so how do i post my photo for ID? it is a Jpeg??
please advise

how do i make my photo's smaller so they fit on the site??

steve | I used photoshop to crop and shrink the image I just uploaded, but there are a few decent pic editing programs to be found via google. Google itself has its own - called Picasa, and apparently that is very good.

steve | Most platforms come with Microsoft Photo Editor as standard where you can change a pics size when saving it under 'save as'.

If you dont have photo editor - as KtKtKt says picasa is a good option - or GIMP from Gnu soft (also a free download) be careful how you search for it tho  - or just google freeware photo editors - there are a fair few to choose from
also stu took the size limit off the forum and unid'd galleries - smaller is still better re upload times but you can upload your pics without resizing so long as you dont try and put them in the subject galleries
