As a relatively new member, I have to say that you soon stood out as one of the voices of reason, and worth a read - to keep that standard up over 5000 posts takes some effort or considerable natural talent.

Perhaps now we should have a competition to guess his real name, to which I am not aware he has ever revealed.
I have him down as someone quite stateley.
Would not surprise me if he were called Endeavour, or something quite regal. |

Please forgiveth me O' noble one as this doth seemeth a little lateth!
It is quite an amazing feat to achieve over 5000 posts and still remain an enigma to many!!
I always imagine you sat in a big leather chair at your big oak desk in the attic of your mansion, surrounded by dusty oak bookcases containing hundreds of old reference books, busy deliberating and scribbling away with your old quill pen!!
Am I close at all ??

I have actually got some plants in my yard now ...two troughs on the wall and a couple of containers on the ground!! And so far I have seen a tiny spider a snail and a huge fly, so pretty successful really!

As a very new member - just about 24 hours old - I have yet to aquaint myself with the distinct qualities of Nightshade that are admired by so many but I just wanted to say that I amire anyone who is committed enough to make 5000 postings (and by all accounts very good ones too!) ... perhaps one day ... !
