| | | Re: Periwinkle and Whelk When I was a little boy my family used to go up the Lightwater Working Mens' Club (now The Crossley Club) in Lightwater. On Saturday night a guy used to come round the club wearing a white coat and carrying a huge wicker hamper full of various forms of snot fish and prawns. My nan used to have cockles while my dad had jellied eels and mum had prawns. I had some prawns one night as was violently sick that night.
Cheers,
