I wonder what that's all about? I've fished out several HUGE drowned slugs over the past few weeks. Some evenings when I've gone out to the pond to check on the frogs with a torch and scare the cat away, I've noticed quite a few slugs and snails around the edge of the pond- sort of nosing at the water and poking at it with their antennae.

I do try and tell them they can't swim and to be careful, but they never pay any attention.

I have a theory, as it has been so dry here the only water around is the pond so are drawn to it then feed on the plants by the waters edge and fall in.
