| | | Weird slime in pond I fished this foul smelling slime out of my pond today it was thick and hard to net.
I think its some things guts..
Any ideas..

It could have been bigger than 2" but slugs are big here lol
There are dead slugs in the pond all the time but they are only small 1" at the most. |

I think it's a decaying slug- there was a huge one we fished out of our pond, (it wasn't quite as far gone as this, though!) and they do go all horrid and slimy.
Was this floating, or on the bottom of the pond? I can't help but laugh, it's so GROSS. I can't look any more, either. |

| | | Re: Weird slime in pond It was caught in the plants I was fishing out the duckweed when I saw what looked like cotton wool so got it in the net this when I realised it was slime.
I didn't see it the day before so I thought something had half finished its midnight snack I think it was bigger than 2" more like 4" but hard to tell.
