| | | Jumping Carp These didn't make it into the Gallery as they're a bit out of focus, but I thought I'd post them anyway. These large carp were jumping almost completely out of the water at Kingsmill Reservoir yesterday. I've seen carp rolling lots of times, but never coming up almost vertically as these were. |

Ive often seen them leaping out the water on lakes though |

| | | Re: Jumping Carp Carp are known to jump well clear of the water, something I used to witness quite often when I was an angler. They will tail walk as well.

| | | Re: Jumping Carp It's probably due to the water being warmer and the Carp are cleaning themselves off. Knocking off leeches etc  The behaviour in the pics is typical of this, rolling is usually when they are feeding |
