| | | Low tide 31st August Just in case you didn't know - as if! - we have a promising low tide coming up this Wednesday/Thursday.
If you are going out, check the tide times - be warm, be safe and have fun! The big kid in me is wanting out, to go rockpooling on the south coast, with a thermos of coffee, and just maybe a hot sausage and beans on the beach!

| | | Re: Low tide 31st August Ok, so I have the day off to go rockpooling. Just as an after thought, where does evryone think their best rockpooling beach is? I know we have done this before, but members change, and it's nice to hear others talk about their favourites.
I am still undecided where to go - anywhere from Exmouth to beyond Plymouth I guess - have car, have satnav....will travel!
Where's good to go?

| | | Re: Low tide 31st August We don't have many decent rockpools in the North West - I wish we did - hope you have a great day out and maybe post some pics of finds later?

| | | Re: Low tide 31st August Get yourself to Walney Channel at Barrow, Pauline. Extreme low water springs reveal areas around the bridge with a decent bottom to walk on and you may be lucky to find a lobster!
0815 would be good, end of Roa Island is easily accessible too with lots of pools. |

Thanks for that I must remember that little gem of knowledge - can't go tomorrow and assume it will need a very low tide tho a wander at any low tide could be interesting and September is a good month for this activity ..... must pencil that in somewhere - thanks John
