Filter for pond

Hi, i was woundering if you could help me.

I have just built my own filter out of a barrel and i want to set a system up to clean my pond.
i want to know what you think i should do with my uv clarifier that i have bought.

My System Idea

I thought that firstly is would pump water into my filter then the filter water in to the clarifier and then into my pond but some people have said i should put the clarifier before the filter so the algae can be trapped in the filter. i Was thinking i could do this but then the muck from the pond would be going into the clarifier and as i have several big trees overhanging my pond then there would be a lot of leaves in the water. I thought that this might damage the clarifier and there fore i came up with the idea of putting it after the filter so all the big partical would have gone. I would be delighted if you could give your opinium on this and give me some tips. THANKYOU
