Pond Life Egg Identification

Hello all.

I've just come across some eggs in my pond. I was hoping they were Goldfish eggs but after a bit of Googling I don't think they are.

The egg sack is about 25mm and the eggs are about half a mm





Any help with an ID would be appreciated.

The top ones im not to sure about though, i think they might be goldfish eggs because ive had them and they look very similar

The top photo I guess is the same snail eggs that have been smeared out.

Thanks all for the replys. The general concensus is Pond Snail eggs then. There is a fair sized trumpet snail in the pond which can be seen from time to time. He must have come as a freebie on one of the plants!

No baby Goldfish just yet then!

Is yours a wildlife pond, Graeme? Because if so, from all I have read here, goldfish would not really be a very welcome addition anyway, since they gobble up tadpoles, newt larvae, etc etc at an alarming rate... Just be happy with your Pond Snails!

It's a Goldfish pond with a couple of Green Tench and rescued Ghost Koi but the Pond Snail is very welcome at any time!

There are frogs and newts in the garden and I plan on building a veggi filter which will be a safe haven for them.
