Non-intervention in pond life dramas?

Oops.... Why??? I just picked the stones up from the woods, brushed them off, and popped them into the pond...

Hmmmm... Well, too late for the stones already in there! Must say, the tadpoles seemed to go crazy about them, so perhaps there really was something on them. But it doesnt seem to have done the pond any harm so far...

My tadpoles all seem to have disappeared- is this normal? (Sorry, probably silly question- I'm new to all this pond business! )

There were dozens of little froglets bouncing around about a month ago, and now there doesn't appear to be anything in the pond.... other than some odd creatures that scuttle about, and look vaguely like underwater wood lice.

The tadpoles have probably all become froglets, which have now grown up and left... That's a success!!
