| | | Re: british marine aquarists association Hi Gordon,
I have been meaning to get back to you for some time. I hate to say it but I have an empty 5x2x2ft tank in my living room....empty!
Not been in a position to do anything about it, but soon I hope to bring it back to life. I need to replace all the pipes for the Eheim to get that going again, and soon I hope to have my own home made "freeview" to watch again!
We have one of the lowest tides of the year coming up next week, Wednesday/Thursday. I may not be in a position to stock the tank yet, and my scuba has taken a major back seat in my "spare time", but I desperately need a few hours poking around rock pools.
Wednesday 31st August is promising, but work says I have to wait for my time and tide, so I've got Thursday off to revert to the big kid I am!

thanks for the info on tides.
yes, you need to get that tank up and running, and still waiting for you to join us, the british marine aquarists association is coming on nicely now and we need those with practical experience on local marine life.
for anyone wanting more info the website is The BMAA

| | | Re: british marine aquarists association Gordon, the site looks good. I will take time and work through some of what's there.
One thing that caught my attention is Galathea strigosa. Only ever seen one, living in an old pipe I came across on a dive and have since wanted to study one in a tank. Any suggestions where is a reasonable chance of finding one? Not to be mistaken with squamifera which abound on the south coast here.
