| | | Reddish/brown for Dragonfly ID (darter maybe?) This little guy seemed to be nearing the end as he was just sitting on a flower and didn't take flight when I approached. Only taking off when I walked past and then he actually took a nosedive into the water so after I fished him out took the opportunity to get a pic.
Any ideas? |

She is a darter - the photos not really clear enough to say whether it's a Common or Ruddy, but because I can't see any yellow on the legs, and the yellow patches at the base of the wings are quite intense, I would think that it might be Ruddy.
It's a recently emerged one by the way - which may have suffered from changeable weather conditions if your weathers been anything like this area. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
