The translucent spheres in the first photo would be the individual eggs, encased in jelly, while in the second I assume the dark objects are the developing shells. |

However, I'm still not convinced about my first pic being snails. Even the jelly sac is a different shape and it looks milky. I'm keeping a twice daily look on further development and will report. I'm not so proud that I won't admit to being wrong  .
