| | Unidentified eggs in pond Hello, can anyone identify these eggs.
They are found on the underside of leaves in pond. Tried lots of sites but cannot find an answer.
Regards

| | | Re: Unidentified eggs in pond the difference between newt eggs and pond snail eggs is that snails lay them in clumps on the side of the pond/rocks/plants while newt usually wrap them up except from when they dont have anywhere to wrap them in. newt eggs are usually confused with pond snail eggs but these are definitely pond snail eggs as newt's eggs would have hatched by now. |

| | | Re: Unidentified eggs in pond Hi there
Thanks for your comments. Yes, there are lots of eggs. I have a small wild life pond.
Should I be concerned?

^ Water Snail egg strip under water lily leaf.
^ Palmate Newt egg in folded leaf of water forget-me-not.

As they eat the algae they are more than welcome. I pull pounds of blanket weed out every day!!
