Male Stickleback

A couple of pics from last week. I dipped one of the ponds with sticklebacks and found a male coming into breeding colours.

at riverside country park the wildlife pond was full of them. we could see fighting males with their shiny red bellies. the grass snake was in the pond to but i couldnt see it hunting.
