What to do with frogs

I have moved into a house that has an old water feature in the garden - it isnt working adn there are two frogs living in it. I want to keep them and encourage them but Im not sure what to do? The water level seems to be decreasing in the hot weather, do I fill it up? Any advice??

It is best to use rain water to fill up the water feature. Are you going to build a pond? there are several posts on here about making a pond. Frogs also spend sometime out of the pond and it would help them to have some shady cover in the form of plants, log piles, rocks and or broken flowerpots.

Thank you very much, I will get a water butt and start collecting what little rain water there is. Not planning on building a pond. Just moved into the house it needs the attention before the garden which will be done next year hence just wanting to keep them as happy as possible in their very little 2.5 square home. They seem to be ok but I will make sure they can get out and that there is shade for them.
