I'm not quite sure what you are trying to achieve in the Goldfish breeding myself is this a business venture where you are planning to sell the offspring? because you are going to have to produce a hell of a lot of goldfish to get anywhere near breaking even. If not a business venture, what do you plan on doing with the fish?

I did come across this site The Goldfish Sanctuary, Advanced Goldfish Care

Thanks for replying. That gos to the rest of you people to.
I want to create a small business and im not looking for huge profits. But i hope to make a little money. I am trying to keep costs at a low so im am looking for bargains.
E.g. I bought a couple of solid plastic storage tubs a couple of months ago from tesco. They hold 50 litres and look suitable for the home made filter that i am going to make in february. And they only cost 89p each.**BARGAIN**
Luckerly i was given about 30 goldfish by my uncle when he was going to fill in his pond.
I know that some can breed because out of the 30 about 18 are small 1-2 year olds and still are black in colour. The other ten or so are all orange/gold. I have two that are proberly nearly 23cms long and are really plump so they must be females. I think i have about 5-6 males that are nice and healthy too. As well as the fish my uncle gave me i bought ten from my local Garden Centre and they produced 45 small fry in 2006 that are overwintering in my top pond great. I have two ponds, one i call the top and one the bottom pond. Last years fry are up the top and the biger fry are down the bottom with the adults so they don't get eaten.
Anyway thanks again. Please let me know if you find any cheap items in shops. CHEERS.
